Mick Bernie, Sales Engineer at Michael Williams Engineering Ltd, is the Parade Marshal at the Royal British Legion in Saffron Walden, Essex.

Michael Williams Engineering Ltd supports the Saffron Walden Branch with a donation each year, and Mick always conducts a two minute silence in the factory when the 11th of November falls on a working day.

"This year's Remembrance Sunday was a glorious day with good sunshine and no rain," Mick told us.

"The Parade was lead by the 56 (Woolwich) Squadron ATC Band, who were followed by soldiers from the local Army Barracks and the Royal British Legion."

They were further joined by approximately 300 members of the various Uniformed Youth Groups of Saffron Walden.

The route from the War Memorial at one end of Saffron Walden High Street to the St Mary's Church at the other end of the High Street, was lined with crowds of people who had come out in their hundreds to support the Parade.

"It truly is a highlight in Saffron Walden town's calendar," said Mick.
